Port 1935 is blocked
The system configuration test reports that Port 1935 is closed. What should I do?
WizIQ users can experience audio-video delay (latency) if the Port 1935 is closed or inaccessible.
By default, WizIQ uses port 1935 for the audio and video communication. Sometimes, the
firewall/proxy server/anti-spyware application may block port 1935 for inbound and outbound
traffic that results in audio and video latency i.e. interruptions or dropped sounds/video.
How to unblock Port 1935?
Try these options to unblock 1935 Port if it is blocked by:
- Software firewalls: Check the settings of the firewall installed on your system to allow the
inbound and outbound traffic for your browser on port 1935. You can also disable the firewall temporarily.
- Hardware Firewalls: If a hardware device, like router firewall, has blocked 1935 port access,
you can use the hardware driver settings, or hardware firewall app to unblock the port. Again,
you can also disable a hardware firewall temporarily
- Server: Accessing Internet through a proxy server may also block port 1935. Ask your
network administrator to open 1935 port for your system.
- Port blocking software: A port blocking software may also block 1935 port. In this case,
you can open 1935 port from within such port blocking software, and then restart the system.
You may have to restart the system to apply the above changes in the firewall/proxy server settings.
